There are many ways to get involved at First Church. Below are just a few of the areas currently seeking volunteers. If you wish to learn more or wish to volunteer, please feel free to phone the specific contact listed, or contact the church office.
Communications Team
Provides content and maintenance for church website, Facebook page, and coordinates mailings, marketing materials, brochures, etc.
Communion Stewards
Assemble and put away communion elements
Connection Center
Staff this vital welcome center in the main lobby each Sunday
Cottage Ministry
Care for our cottage at Lake Webster and administrates the summer rental program. To rent the cottage for summer vacations, retreats, etc., contact Joe Wolpert (260 223-1115).
Fish Fry Fundraiser
We join in a circle of prayer to God before the fish fry opens.
Welcome spring and join the fun during our big church-wide fundraiser for Fishes & Loaves, The Loft Youth, The Hope Chest and Kids First. Here’s a video of our helpers and some of the behind the scenes fun made by one of our youngest helpers last year.

Garden Ministry
Care for outdoor flower beds and pots in Spring, Summer and Fall. Contact Penny Hinsky through the church office for additional information.
Greeters
Welcoming persons in the parking lot and the indoor entrances before each service. Both services.
Hospitality “He-Brews”
Brew and set up for coffee and donuts each Sunday morning
Liturgist
Read the scripture message for the day during the church service. Both services.
Praise Teams – Vocal and Instrumental
Persons of all ages are welcome to participate. Practice various times during the week.
Multi-Media
Prepare and run the PowerPoint presentation. Run the sound board. 10:00 am service.
Ushers
Help seat, offer bulletins and take up the offering each Sunday morning. Both services
Video Ministry
Video the 10:30 am service and make DVD’s post service.
